Key benefits
Windows macros
Desktop Macros will record macros while you are working with any
Microsoft Windows application. Each macro records sequences of
keystrokes, mouse movements and mouse clicks. The sequences are
stored in macro files which can be played back as many times as
required. When a macro file is played back, it will simulate
clicks on menu items, buttons, windows and links just as if you
had entered them yourself.
Playback speed control
You can play back recorded macros at nine different speeds. At the
highest speed your computer may not be able to open windows as
fast as you click on them!
Pause for manual data entry
You will sometimes need to enter data manually that should not be
recorded in a macro. For example, you may need to enter a filename
into a program or a date on a form. Desktop Macros can use a hotkey
to pause macro recording while you manually enter such data. It can
then continue recording after the data is entered. The required pauses
for manual data entry will occur when the macro is later played back.
Who needs this program?
Desktop Macros is essential for anyone who needs to carry out repetitive
everyday PC keyboard tasks. Examples of such tasks include data
entry into forms, entering passwords and usernames, filling
parameters and text fields in complex applications, etc.
